M.C. Reardon is a photographer, a painter, and a poet; a native of Portland OR. Her creative works are an expression of her love and respect for Nature and how important it is to feel connected with the elements, to understand her holistic place in the environment, and to satisfy her need for soulful connection to the natural world.

A self taught artist who grew up in a family of talented artists, she learned the art of photography in the analog darkroom, before digital technology, and still enjoys working with 35mm and medium format film cameras including her Hasselblad 503 series system. She uses these production techniques in her digital darkroom, minimizing digital processing to create high quality prints on fine art papers. Her photographs sometimes inspire her acrylic paintings, and are often incorporated into her mixed media pieces.

Reardon's images have been exhibited and collected worldwide, and are installed in several corporate collections. She has participated in exhibits at Elmhurst Art Museum in Chicago, as well as in art centers throughout the nation.  She recently completed a solo exhibition 'possible moments of consciousness' at the Lan Su Chinese Garden in downtown Portland during the month of July 2017. At the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture in Joseph, Oregon, she won a Second Place award for her ‘Thunder Mountains’ photograph in the Center’s ‘The Wild Landscape’ exhibit, during 2015.

Many of her images have been featured in publications such as calyx: a journal of art and literature by women, Pasadena Home, and Don’t Take Pictures Magazine. In spring 2017, Reardon launched her new art book 'Chasing the Moon', which features over 40 of her photographs and several of her latest poems, currently available for purchase on this website.
